Trust Therapeutic model
Aims
- Enable all pupils to effectively manage the transition from school to life beyond, developing knowledge and understanding of themselves, their strengths and needs.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and support, appropriate to the student’s individual needs.
- Integrate therapeutic interventions and wider pastoral support into the school curriculum.
- Provide opportunities across the curriculum to develop transferrable life and communication skills.
- Maintain positive relationships and links with all stakeholders, including parents, carers and external professionals.
- Model a culture of continuous learning, increasing the knowledge, awareness and skills of all members of the school community through reflective practice.
Tiers of support
Tier 1 - Universal
All pupils receive universal support from the point of admission.
Tier 2 – Targeted
Pupils who require involvement or oversight from a member of the Therapeutic Team, receive targeted support.
Tier 3 – Specialist
Pupils who are identified as requiring a higher level of support, involving direct and/or regular input from a member/s of the Therapeutic Team, receive specialist support.
